She’s amazing and kink friendly. And how bad-ass would you be if you had a fucking harpist stroll into the dungeon with you and play while you scened?!?

Folsom Weekend was pretty great! The Folsom Fringe event was a great chance to meet some folks I’d only known by reputation or online, and the Fair was amazing!
As it turned out, my costume was quite a draw…
And despite it being pretty warm, there was a breeze all day.
On an exciting note, I have received some donations and offers of donations towards my Silent Auction Basket for the Ms. SF Leather contest, and that is awesome! The Frugal Domme, and Panther Prowls, Maui Kink, Poly’s Pleasures, Greenery Press, and Dmitri E Ville have all stepped up to the plate and I am superfuckingexcited about that.
To make it even more diversified, there is some arty fartiness up for the auction…tickets for Crowded Fire, Impact Theatre and Berkeley Rep are in the mix. THAT is how I ROLL.

It is time again for the SM Odyssey Folsom Fringe!
I’ve been attending SM Odyssey events since they started ‘em up back in 1998 with the Kinky Prom. Man that brings back some memories…
Now I’m a jaded ole perv and am rolling on down to San Jose with a few hundred pervs from far and wide to celebrate the community, the kink, and to learn and play and generally get our Leather on.
I’m breaking out a new class… “BOUNDARY SMACKDOWN” that is focused on overcoming internal and external inhibitors to satisfaction in your personal kinkscape. I’m curious to see how it is received!
I am also super thrilled that a long-time friend, Evil Mommy Tina, will be doing some picture taking of me while I’m there! I am usually insanely self-conscious about photography so it helps to have someone I absolutely love and trust to do the honors…
And the of course there’s Sunday, the big day. My costume pieces almost didn’t make it, and I still have a few errands to run to be ready to do my thing on Folsom Sunday! It is the first year I’m using a masked costume, so I am curious to see how that experience is…

NO gain, NO yummy bruises either...
I started noticing it when I was in the late-stages of my first kink relationship. The late stage where the sex and kink die-off, you aren’t playing as often, maybe the thrill is gone or you’re in line with 2-5 other women waiting to be slotted in at the dominant’s convenience.
And then it began.
I’d stub my toe three times in one day. Bang my arm into the wall of my cubicle. Smack my head on an open cabinet, and stumble back, wincing from the sudden pain that woke me out of whatever reverie I’d been in.
It didn’t take me too long to make an interesting connection.

I strive to swerve online drama. I have been doing the “online thing” for a while now. Not as long as some, but longer than others.
I still become honestly puzzled by people who assume that a common sexual bent will somehow filter out jerks, losers, douchebags, whiners, predators, evil beings, and just plain old fashioned annoying folks.
The BDSM “Scene”, the Leather Community, all of these things are, at best, a skewed microcosm.
Don’t be so foolish as to think that bonding over bondage makes the person next to you on that St. Andrew’s Cross any more intelligent, sensitive, or open-minded than the guy depositing your check at the bank.
In the same way that a safeword provides only a modicum of insurance (some would argue a false sense of security as well) the “feeling of community” does NOT assure you that all is warm and fuzzy.
