Lying the wrong way
in bed while the morning sun
Limns drifting dust motes.
Oddly transgressive
reversed orientation
complicates waking.
Smiling for your eyes
and yet lachrymal ghosts flit
right behind my eyes.
They’ll not last long, though.
In revealing my own skin
my heart can taste yours.
